Set among the highly diverse and adaptive student body of a midwestern public elementary school, LEMON SHARK reflects the realities of everyday people trying to survive and thrive in an ever-changing world. Kindergarten and music teacher Freddie and her thirteen year old daughter Sam, seek refuge in their community, family, friends, science and music. Freddie -- a single mom and child at heart -- is grappling with a sudden loss, while science-minded Sam delves into her study of endangered species; demonstrating to them both the impact of loving that which is endangered. LEMON SHARK follows Freddie and Sam as they move into deeper waters; revealing their resilience, capacity for growth and inextricable bond.
