Strong-willed development aid worker Karla Friemann comes to Afghanistan in order to build a water supply well. The villagers treat her with reserve and the well is being sabotaged by strangers repeatedly. When Karla finds out who really is in charge of the attacks she must realize that her western notion of what is good for people is being evaluated totally different in another culture. A story about willing yet failing to help.
