A mysterious woman in kimono, who offers strangers cleaning ear, Mimikaki has attracted people on the street in New York. She is a performing artist, Ayaka May Komatsu, a Japanese American, known by artist name, Ayakamay. Using culture gaps that she experienced in Japan and the United States, the performances she creates intent to make people free from stereotypes and bias. Her unconventional style has gotten attention from not only the United States but also Europe recently.
