The story follows a couple living in a shantytown as they navigate the process of getting married. Gül and Orhan work hard to support their families, barely making ends meet. Due to the harsh conditions of their lives, their wedding is postponed. Orhan works tirelessly to build his own shack. Meanwhile, Zeyyat, the son of Gül's factory owner, has developed feelings for her. Gül is torn between the comfortable life that wealth would bring and the man she loves.
