In a small port town, Hilde runs a sailor's bar to support her young son, Stijn. Years after abandoning them for a wandering lifestyle, the boy's father, Paul , suddenly returns. His reappearance disrupts the stable, comforting life Hilde has built with her new partner, Guy .As Paul tries to re-seduce Hilde, a bitter love triangle forms. Old psychological wounds reopen, and intense conflicts erupt directly in front of their child.
