After many years, the hitman has the opportunity to see Marco, his best friend, again. This time, however, he has orders to kill him. He hasn't seen him since the years of Italian liberation, but it seems as if they have always been together. They are two sides of the same nation, one looking to the future, the other to the past. But the past re-emerges from the shadows, determined to drag the future with it.
