Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China but ruled with tyranny, conscripting millions for labor, including Fan Qiliang, whom Meng Jiangnu married after he saved her life. Fan was later conscripted again, leading to Meng Jiangnu’s legendary weeping at the Great Wall.
