Avi Malka (Danny Steg), a 32-year-old divorcee, is a junior officer at a rear base who has never managed to advance in the army or muster the courage to retire to civilian life. Avi's greatest love is his 9-year-old son Ron, whom he tries to teach to be tough and get by in life.
